What is Microblading? (Also know as Semi Permanent Eyebrow Embroidery)
Microblading is the Japenese Method of Semi Permanent Brows and is a manual, non-machine method relatively new to the UK. It is considered to be semi-permanent, as it’s compared to the traditional hairstroke digital machine technique. It is done using a hand tool with a very fine blade (made up of 10-16 tiny, fine needles configured into a blade shape) to deposit pigments into the epidermis. Because we’re impacting colour closer to the skin surface, the strokes appear and remain crisp and extremely fine.
This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows without anyone noticing. The results are very natural looking, feathered hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present. People suffereing with alopecia, trigonometrical or any other condition that causes hair loss benefit greatly from Microblading, as well as people who simply aren’t happy with their eyebrows but do not wish to have a dark, defined, brow.
The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow colour, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into the existing hairs.
The results are a natural, flawless, fuller looking brow. Initially, the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a two week period. It is crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment. The results can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on different factors such as client’s skin type, sun exposure and chemicals contained in creams and beauty products applied to the skin which could fade and break pigment sooner etc.
A Colour Boost Retouch once a year is recommended to retain the shape and freshen the colour.
How long does the pigmentation last?
Microblading tends to last between 18-36 months and after this period of time may need a colour boost or refresh.
Does it hurt?
Like all semi-permanent procedures microblading will require a topical anaesthetic which can be topped up throughout the procedure making it relatively painless.
How much will it cost?
Microblading starts from £295.00 (full brow)
£195 for part brow which fills in sparse both include consultation, initial procedure, and an aftercare package.
